Home MTC District
This first week in the online MTC was eye opening and life changing. It has been life changing. The work is advancing during these troubled times. I am so grateful that I had a chance to stay with my family the first week of training. But, tomorrow is the big day! I enter the Provo MTC tomorrow afternoon to begin my in-person portion of my training. I am so excited to meet my teachers and my district in person. I truly have been blessed with an amazing district and amazing teachers.
My companion's name is Sister Marlatt. How I met her was a tender mercy. A few months ago, I found her on Instagram and saw that she was going to the same mission as me. She was also entering the MTC the same day as me. I had the courage to message her and tell her that I was also going to Kansas and that we might meet in the MTC. Well, turns out we are companions! The Lord truly blessed me with an amazing companion. I could not have gone through this week without her.
I taught my first lesson this week as well! It was definitely a learning experience. I am so grateful that we are allowed to practice teaching before we go to the mission field. I do have a lot to learn. I am grateful that the MTC is the place to learn.
I hope everyone had a great week! I hope all is well! I hope school had a great start! I love you all!
P.S.
The title of the email is a joke between my district. One of my teachers was giving an example about how to teach the first discussion. She used her water bottle as her companion and she called her "Sister Water Bottle". You would think this was the funniest thing that ever happened to us because we were all super tired when it happened.
