Dear Bishop McBee,
Sister Sydney Ellis will complete her mission and return home on 14 Mar 2023. It has been our privilege to serve with her in the Kansas Wichita Mission in the great heartland of America. Sister Ellis has been instructed to report to her Stake President upon her arrival to receive her honorable release from full-time missionary service.
Sister Barr and I feel great appreciation for Sister Ellis's valiant and noble spirt and her obedience in service as a missionary. Throughout her mission she has put forth her best effort while serving as a Junior Companion, Senior Companion and Trainer. She has represented our Savior with dignity and humility and has strengthened her foundation in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
Sister Ellis is not the same young woman you sent to us. She has changed dramatically into a consecrated and dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ. Our mission vision is for each missionary to become and help others to become true disciples of Jesus Christ and enjoy the blessings of the Holy Temple. Sister Ellis has embraced this vision while serving and it is our hope, she will continue to reflect that vision throughout her life. Please challenge her with callings and assignments which will help her continue to grow and stretch herself. Encourage her to return
to the temple often and consider serving as an ordinance worker, if possible. We love Sister Ellis with all our hearts, and we send her home to your inspired care and mentoring.
Sister Barr and I thank you for your dedication in building the kingdom of God. May the Lord's choicest blessings continue to be with you.
Sincerely,
President JayDee Barr
Kansas Wichita Mission
